Nursing Home Neglect Remains an Issue Despite Regulations
The case of Sylvie, who died because of an infection which developed while she was in the care of a nursing home, is a reminder of dangers of nursing home neglect. Under the Maryland regulations, nursing homes must be open to inspection by the Secretary of Health or any agency designated by the Secretary.
